STEAM STERILIZER

Easy to use, with intuitive touch screen that provides the operator with total control.

Today, Raphanel offers the widest and most advanced range of steam sterilization equipment for dehydrated products that allow users to obtain maximum benefits in terms of product quality, food safety, reduced operating costs, and reliability.

Steam is the best solution, recognized worldwide and accepted by all countries as a natural method for food sterilization.

01

Continuous system

Product subjected to steam pressure for a short period of time.

Our High-Pressure Short Time (HP-ST) system has many advantages over other systems in the market.

02

Low temperature process

Our high-pressure steam sterilization chamber does not need to excessively increase the temperature of the product. 95-105° C is enough to achieve 5 log reduction in TPC.

Low temperatures help to maintain the organoleptic properties of the product.

03

Short residence time in the sterilization chamber

Reduced residence time. Between 1 and 2 minutes is enough to achieve 5 log reduction in TPC.

Other processes in the market require many minutes of residence, which causes the product to deteriorate excessively.

Low exposure time to steam means that the products’ properties are minimally altered.

04

Homogeneous process

Powdered product requires steam pressure so that the steam reaches the entire product uniformly. When sterilizing whole, grain, or crushed products, this is not so relevant because the steam can easily pass through the product.

Any product is treated in a uniform way using our pressure system inside the sterilization chamber.

05

Production capacities

Depending on the bulk density of the product, our different equipment can sterilize 1 Ton/hour (RS1C), 2 Ton/hour (RS2C) or 4 Ton/hour (RS4C).

06

Necessary infrastructure

  • Electricity
  • Steam
  • Compressed air
  • Cold water
  • Internet

07

Process/How it works

Using a continuous doser feeding mechanism, the product is fed into the sterilization chamber, first passing through a conditioner, to make sure that the product reaches the sterilization chamber at a suitable temperature.

The product reaches the sterilization chamber where it is subjected to steam pressure.

After the sterilization chamber, the product is transferred to a fluid bed where the steam that comes out mixed with the product is extracted and cooled to room temperature by cold air flow.

08

Software and automation

Fully automated equipment, with computerized control and monitoring systems.

The operator interface is intuitive, to facilitate its use to operators of all levels.

It provides the production management and process control personnel with endless possibilities to ensure the traceability of every Kilo of product that is sterilized.

All information is stored for years.

09

Maintenance

  • No expert personnel is needed for the replacement of parts.
  • Easy cleaning, total accessibility to the entire sterilization line.
  • Exclusive self-cleaning sterilization chamber design.
  • Easy disassembly of all components.
  • Total removal of the drive system, leaving the sterilization chamber completely empty for inspection.
